Tomorrow is Day 21: Hatch Day!!!

We took a look inside an egg last week and were able to see the air pocket (the light part at the top of the egg), the baby chick MOVING inside (the dark part at the bottom) and the red lines running throughout are the chick's blood supply as it grows. So cool!

We drew our observations...

Each kiddo cracked an egg (without a chick inside!) and we looked at the different parts of an egg and talked about how each part helped a chick grow.

I loved watching the kids crack theirs sooo carefully!

This is how we left the eggs on Friday. They need to lay still and not turn for the last 3 days of development so the chicks can get into their hatching position.

Tomorrow is day 21--Hatch Day--we are sooo egg-cited!
Stay tuned!
