Easter Learning & Fun

Throughout the season of Lent our focus has been on learning about the journey that Jesus went through during this time.
The children worked very hard on their Lenten Journey journals.
As you look through the journals, you will learn about the
different things we focused on each week.
This week, we tried to sneak in a bit of fun
before heading off to spring break.
However, even amidst all the fun, the children retreated into our prayer corner for some quiet time to read Easter Bible stories, explore crucifixes and candles,
and play with Bible story characters.
Here are just a few of the activities we enjoyed...
ABC uppercase/lowercase matching.
Hiding the bunny tails sensory play.
Matching egg patterns.
Easter writing tray.
Cracking the egg to reveal a letter and match it to the egg mat.
Building Easter puzzles.
Writing stories in an egg-shaped book.
Making up an Easter bunny play.
Creating egg sculptures.
Exploring magnetic items to try to pick-up the eggs.
Building and measuring egg towers... harder than it seems.
Drawing, cutting, and painting our own Easter eggs.
So pretty!
Going on a letter hunt around the room and
marking the letters off on a recording sheet.
Pretending to be the Easter bunny hiding and
delivering eggs all over our classroom.
The best part of the week so far?!?!
Getting a BIG Easter hug from Father Peter Patrick!!
Wishing everyone a blessed and joyous Easter!
