Seuss-Inspired Fun

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd,
we engaged in some silly Seuss stories and activities this week.
It was a perfect launch into a unit on Imagination.
Imagination Hats, can you imagine that?
I put it on and then I can pretend!!
Seuss stack.
Can you stack a hat like the Cat in the Hat??

'Seuss City' scrap paper sculptures.
Use your imagination and create a 'wocket' character.
Make a pocket for your wocket!
 Build a colorful Seuss tower.
Can you make it balance?
Can you measure how tall it is?
 Let's create a crazy Seuss-inspired sculpture.
Look for these on display outside our classroom door.
Dr. Seuss is so silly, but he's really good
at rhyming and using his imagination!
Happy Birthday Theodor Geisel...
(Seuss is his middle name!)
