A Day at the Zoo

God blessed us with a beautiful sunny day to go to the zoo!
What could be better than spending a day with friends?
Maybe seeing animals with friends!!
Check-out these crazy sights!
By the end-of-the-day the children started turning into animals:)
Parting ways from our special mommies
had a few of our little angels in tears:(
What a day!!
Please visit our Goggle album to view all the pictures.
Chaperones will be adding pics too, so check back!

Library Walk

We headed to the Shorewood Library this
afternoon for our last visit with Ms. Heide.
She read us a very silly story.
The children decorated their name tag from the very first session and compared their drawings and noticed their progress.
Of course, we had book time in the library which is our favorite!!
Looking for that one perfect book!
Ms. Heide told the children about the
awesome summer reading program.
So many tickets and prizes to earn just for reading books!!
Don't miss out!
Sign-up as soon as you can!

Who Wants Pizza???

When the children were asked what we should change the pretend lab into this week, the consensus was a Pizza Restaurant.
So, let's do it!!
Our pizza shoppe can handle in-house dining,
as well as carry-out pies.
Lots of opportunities to practice writing skills while taking orders.
The kitchen supervisor runs a tight ship and watches carefully
to be sure just the right amount of sauce is added.
Our pizza chefs artfully arrange the toppings
to fulfill each customers order.
Next stop... the pizza oven.
Happy little servers jump at the opportunity to
bring cold beverages to your table.
Feel free to phone in your order as well!!
These little people can write in a variety of settings.
Stop in for a slice or take home a whole pizza pie.
We have one more plan for the last week of school before our pretend lab closes down for the summer.
Yikes:(

Field Day Fun

The weather did not cooperate for field day this year,
however that did not hold back students or teachers
from having a blast this afternoon.
The entire school was utilized to pull-off the indoor event... the gym, Reilly Hall, as well as classrooms!!
Our fun afternoon began with dining in our classrooms for lunch because Reilly Hall was being set-up with field day stations.
Mr. J. and his team of big kids planned super
fun INDOOR stations... 21 to be exact.
Each spirit team rotated through every station.

Older spirit team members mentored the little ones.
Because teachers are also the spirit team leaders, I could only take photos of the teams that passed by me... :(
