This afternoon we gathered as a school community to pray together and then play together. The Culture and Climate committee placed all the children into mixed age-level teams, These teams will come together at least once per trimester to engage in a school-wide activity.
Today, our activity revolved around Veteran's Day. We learned what a veteran is and why we honor them on November 11th. We began by watching a short video and then each team created a poster for Veteran's Day.
My team got right to work and as we worked we came up with a team name: The Fun, Fantabulous Fourteen!
We added a bit of pizazz by using a fork dipped in paint to create fireworks!
Although only two 4K children are seen in this post, all the full-day kiddos were engaged in this activity around our school. Each child received a bracelet to remind him/her to BE THE CHANGE!

Half-day children were also placed on these teams and will participate when the events are held in the morning. These will also be the field day teams which takes place in May and half-day children are invited to participate:)
