Each Monday morning during Lent, the 4K students are participating in a Taizé prayer experience along with the rest of the school community.
The characteristic of Taizé worship that we have been
using is repetitive prayer set to simple musical lines.
Each grade level is assigned a time to spend
in Mary's chapel on the side of church.
We listen to a song which repeats
the same phrase over and over again.
Some of the children join in,
others just focus on the song and the candles.
Before leaving, we light a candle
and say one last prayer.
It is so beautiful and peaceful to be in church all by ourselves.
