Gingerbread Man... Loose in the School!

Ahhhhhh, what a fun morning we had in 4K today!
After reading so many fun stories about gingerbread boys, girls, friends, babies, and gingerbread men, it was time we made a gingerbread character of our own.

We decided to make one boy and one girl.
First, we read the recipe and got all of our ingredients ready.
We needed the gingerbread mix, butter, a little water, and one egg.
Before mixing up our dough, we just had to smell the yummy smell of gingerbread. Mmmmmmm!
We dumped in all the ingredients into a bowl.

Everyone took turns so nicely.

Now for our master egg cracker:)
Next, it was time to stir all those ingredients together.

Did Santa come to help us?!

  Nice team work:)
We kneaded the dough and then formed him into the shape of a person. We had fun singing the Mat Man song!
Now time for a little fun.... decorating!!
Whoa...we hit the jack pot... but just to clarify... sugar does NOT help us think and concentrate very well.
We got special permission to bake our gingerbread boy today:)

Look at our fancy gingerbread boy.
  Meet our pretty gingerbread girl.
Waiting is so hard.
Whaaaat?
We found a note inside our oven!!
The gingerbread boy escaped and gave us a clue that he was hiding someplace dark, where teachers sometimes do their work.
???
The discovery lab had the lights on.
Our prayer corner is a little bit dark.
One of our little friends thought of the first floor conference room.
Yes, it's dark.
Yes, teachers do work in there sometimes.
A gingerbread boy sighting!!
Look!!
He's looking out the window:)
Yikes!
Our gingerbread boy got so fat!

Looks like he gained a few pounds in the oven!
LOL!
Everyone enjoyed eating our yummy gingerbread boy.
We ended our day reading a silly story called:
This version has a different twist to it!!
We highly recommend it:)
