Epiphany... Three Kings Day!

Today we attended mass and celebrated Epiphany... Feast of the Three Kings.
The word epiphany means "appearance," “manifestation,” or “revelation" and is commonly linked in Western Christianity with the visit of the wise men (Magi) to the Christ child (Matthew 2:1-12).
After mass, Father David visited our classroom and blessed both of our doors. It is tradition to write with chalk above an entry door as an invitation for Jesus to be a daily guest in your home, in this case, our classroom. Jesus can be part of our comings and goings, our conversations, our work, our joys, and our sorrows.
The symbols Father David printed were: +20 C M B 17+ It stands for the names of the Magi and the year. This is something you can do above a doorway in your home as well.
