Another new center was introduced to the 4K kiddos this week
in the Literacy Lab... the Listening Post!
The children have been working on the basic 'Concepts of Print' all month and part of that is learning how to hold and handle a book properly. They have all proven that they know how to do this, so it was time to introduce the Listening Post.
When listening to a story on CD it is fun to listen for the beep in the headphones. The beep means it is time to turn the page.
Good readers turn the pages by the upper corner...
they never push the pages.
It is fun to listen alone...
or with a friend.
