Ten Apples Up on Top

There is nothing more fun than making a
story come alive in the literacy lab!
Today we read the story, Ten Apples Up On Top by Theo LeSieg.
We had fun counting the letters in our names and painting the corresponding number of apples on top of our heads.
Some of our friends had 9 letters in their names,
while others only had 3.
Of course lots of the children fell somewhere in between.
The silliest fun we had was when WE tried to
balance an apple on our own heads.
We found out how hard it is to balance
something when the surfaces are not flat.

Something tells me we are NOT done with this activity:)
