Apples!

It's been everything apples in the Discovery Lab!

An "apple pie" sensory table with oatmeal, cinnamon & apples for playful scooping, measuring and baking.

In the Math center, I introduced scales and the concepts of  weighs "more," "less," & "equal," and how these weights look on the scale.

We investigated the different parts of an apple in the Science center.

A star inside!

There was lots of baking apple goodies in Housekeeping.

We had an apple taste-test of red, green & yellow apples and tallied our results...They were all yummy!

Our science experiment this week was "Applecano" with baking soda and vinegar. We learned the exciting science word "hypothesis" and drew what we thought would happen when the vinegar was poured into the baking soda.

Don't these look good enough to eat? In the Art center we painted apples with watercolors!
