Pumpkin Country Market... OPEN!!

Our apple orchard made a few transformations this week and turned into a country pumpkin market. The children have been having so much fun exploring and playing with REAL pumpkins, gourds, and Indian corn.

We have been comparing apples and pumpkins to notice similarities and differences.
Using the scales to weigh them was something new and so fun!
The country market clerks practice using their listening and speaking skills to assist customers.
Customers have learned to wait patiently in line until it is their turn.
Clean-up is a breeze and puts our sorting skills to good use.
Thank you to all who helped stock our little country market:)

This morning when the children arrived at school, the pumpkin market had a brown patch of paper on the floor.
Hmmmm... I wonder what that could be for?
Time for a bit of brainstorming and list-making!!
Stay-tuned next week!!
