February is Dental Health month, soooooooo for the
last two weeks in February our focus will be on dental
Our receptionists have very good manners and utilize their best speaking and listening skills when dealing with patients.
Patients have an authentic purpose for writing
their names when signing in.
The waiting room has lots of good dental health books to help

Once in the dental chair the dental hygienist does a
pre-check for the dentist and also cleans your teeth.
If you have a problem, the dentist listens very carefully.
It's important to keep the tool tray neat and tidy.

Don't worry, we are NOT really putting
the tools in our little mouths.
We are using our imaginations:)
When the dentist comes in he/she pokes around a bit more to do an official check and hopefully send you on your way.
The dental staff takes LOTS of notes on the patients.

Collaboration is key in this practice.
In between patients, the dentists will work
in the lab which is pretty cool.
To add to the fun of our theme...
we have a dental health tinker tray.
Brushing away letter pairs.
Practicing our flossing techniques.
Working at the finger gym pushing down the alligator's teeth and inserting and pulling out teeth in our little pretend patient.
Counting pretend teeth and identifying numbers.
Practicing brushing skills on real models of teeth.
This is the result of good dental hygiene...
Say cheeeeeeese!
