The World is a Rainbow

As we transition out of our imagination unit and into our spring weather and non fiction writing ocean unit we are having a bit a fun exploring rainbows.
Rainbow flowers are beginning to sprout at the finger gym.
Rainbow crinkles are in the mini sensory bin and if we search really well, we might even find some gold for our pot... oh, and do I see some lowercase letters on that gold?!
Before/After!!

A collaborative class rainbow was lots of fun to make.

The kids are getting so big that they are able to
paint their own hands:)

We always have time to sneak in a few brain breaks.
The rainbow variety is especially colorful and fun.

Peek-a-Boo!
Who are you?
Sorting rainbow colors into rainbow pails never gets old.

In 4K we are always practicing printing our letters.
Who wouldn't love to practice writing in a rainbow writing tray?
Sure beats boring paper.

We did fun rainbow color mixing exploration which was beautiful and a whole lot of wet and colorful fun.
Great exercise for our little fingers too.

We tried to create rainbows with shiny things
like CDs on the light table,
but it was more fun using translucent color paddles and shapes.

We created a crazy rainbow with a rolling pin...
we rolled over the color blobs.
So silly!

Team work!!

Some of the children decided to create a
collaborative rainbow mural.

Next time you're feeling rather blue, why not create a rainbow?!
