The children have been introduced to the question-of-the-day! Each day a new question will be posed to the kids and will typically be related to our theme. The children will learn to answer the question during literacy center time and the graph will be visited later and the results will be used for math related graphing activities like counting, noticing 'most, 'least,' etc... I use photos of the kids, so all our friends can 'read' the results easily.
The children are already learning that sometimes even when you want to be in the same column as your friend, it doesn't always work out that way if you answer the question honestly. It's fun to watch friends choose their answer.
