Structures were built in the construction zone.
Blue and green playdough were combined along with a few loose parts to create mini Earth shapes.
Sculptures and inventions were created using upcycled items from the sensory table.
Children worked together at the math tables writing numbers on a graffiti table...
... and writing equations by each grabbing a handful of recycled loose parts and counting them out and then inserting the number into the equation. Wow... can you say"kindergarten here we come?!"
This group of kids worked together and used ALL our big curves to fill our entire gathering space. We thought this was pretty cool!!Children played 'Pick up the Trash' letter game and took turns throwing the letters into the trash can after identifying the letter name and making its sound.
Other kids worked together pasting pictures of things that use electricity onto a poster reminding others to 'Turn it Off!' (Can you tell we just began our unit about Caring for the Earth?)
A couple kids played a new game and practiced sorting recyclables. We are learning to care for God's Earth.
Probably the most fun we had working together was learning a new yoga move where two people were necessary to create a 'rooftop.' Mrs. Beckmann even joined in our fun!!
Stay-tuned to see what is in-store for tomorrow!!
